Charlestown Road

Take a walk down Charlestown Road  where a number of animated scenes depict various aspects of life in Charlestown through the ages.

Peep through a cottage window, look at a blacksmith's shop and see the cooperage which was a thriving trade in the early days of industrial Charlestown, with barrels being used to transport fish and clay.

Visit Charles Rashleigh discussing the village with his daughter Martha. A year before his death in 1823, Rashleigh had financial worries mainly due to his mistrust of rogue servants.
